The 5th Annual English Essay Contest

The 5th Annual English Essay Contest was successfully held on November 19, 2011. The topic for first-year students was “My Favorite Place” , and the topic for all other students was “How to Improve Your English”. We had several good essays again, so it was difficult to choose the winners. The essays by the first-year students were of particularly good quality, and it was very hard to choose a winner. As for English study, the students made many suggestions including extensive reading, and listening to (English) music and news. All students who submitted essays should be congratulated.

The 4th Annual English Essay Contest was successfully held on November 13, 2010. The topic for first-year students was “Someone I Respect”, and the topic for all other students was “Internationalization and Japan”. We had several good essays again, so it was difficult to choose the winners. The essays by the third-year students were of particularly good quality, and it was very hard to choose a winner. The students made many suggestions including pursuing one’s dream like Coco Chanel, adopting better eating habits, and more support for workers from other countries who are living in Japan. All students who submitted essays should be congratulated.
