The 7th Annual English Essay Contest

The 7th Annual English Essay Contest was successfully held on November 16, 2013.
The topic for first-year students was “My Favorite Place”, and the topic for second-year students was “My Favorite Author”. |

| We had several good essays again this year. The essays by the second-year students were of particularly good quality, and it was very hard to choose a winner. |  |
As for English study, the students made many suggestions including assertive use of English in the pursuit of one’s dream. For example, one student suggested using English when scuba diving or when taking pictures on trips throughout the world. All students who submitted essays should be congratulated. |

The 6th Annual English Essay Contest was successfully held on November 17, 2012.
The topic for first-year students was “A Person I Respect”, and the topic for all other students was “Tips for Good English Communication”. |

| We had several good essays again, so it was difficult to choose the winners. The essays by the third-year students were of particularly good quality, and it was very hard to choose a winner. |

| As for English study, the students made many suggestions including using Skype, listening or watching NHK English-language programs, and assertive use of “simple” English. All students who submitted essays should be congratulated. |
